Wall Walk
Inverted Shoulder StrengthWHAT IS IT
The Wall Walk starts in a push-up with the feet against a wall and walks the hands back until you are nearly upside down, then walks out again. It builds the shoulder and core strength behind handstand work and every overhead station.
HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY
- 1Lie face down with the feet against the base of the wall and the hands under the shoulders.
- 2Push up to a plank and walk the feet up the wall while the hands walk toward it.
- 3Keep the core braced and the ribs down so the back never arches.
- 4Stop with the chest close to the wall, or as high as you can hold with control.
- 5Walk the hands out and the feet down the same way, finishing flat on the floor.
