Triceps Extension
Lockout StrengthWHAT IS IT
The Triceps Extension straightens the elbows against a dumbbell, cable or band, overhead or lying down. It builds the lockout that finishes every push press, wall ball and burpee.
HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY
- 1Hold the weight overhead with the elbows pointing forward, or lie back with it over the chest.
- 2Bend the elbows to lower the weight behind the head or toward the forehead.
- 3Keep the upper arms still through the whole movement.
- 4Straighten the arms fully without locking the elbows hard.
- 5Lower under control; the elbows never flare out.
