Inch Worm
Warm-Up MobilityWHAT IS IT
The Inch Worm walks the hands out to a plank and back to the feet. It is a warm-up staple that opens the hamstrings and switches the shoulders and midline on before the working sets.
HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY
- 1Stand tall, then hinge and place both hands on the floor.
- 2Keep the legs as straight as your hamstrings allow.
- 3Walk the hands forward until you reach a straight-arm plank.
- 4Hold the plank for a beat without letting the hips sag.
- 5Walk the feet up to the hands in small steps and stand.
