Handstand Hold

Handstand Hold

Overhead Stability

WHAT IS IT

The Handstand Hold keeps the body upside down against a wall or free-standing. It builds the shoulder stability and core tension behind handstand push-ups and every overhead lockout.

HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY

  1. 1Place the hands a palm's length from the wall, shoulder-width apart.
  2. 2Kick up one leg at a time until the heels rest on the wall.
  3. 3Push the floor away so the shoulders stay tall and the ears sit between the arms.
  4. 4Squeeze the glutes and the core so the body is one straight line.
  5. 5Hold for the time on the board, then lower one leg at a time.
