Dead Bug

Dead Bug

Core Control

WHAT IS IT

The Dead Bug extends the opposite arm and leg while lying on the back with the lower back pressed into the floor. It teaches the braced core that keeps the sled push and the lunges honest.

HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY

  1. 1Lie on your back with the arms straight up and the knees over the hips at ninety degrees.
  2. 2Press the lower back into the floor and keep it there.
  3. 3Lower one arm overhead and the opposite leg toward the floor at the same time.
  4. 4Stop before the back lifts, then bring both back to the start.
  5. 5Alternate sides slowly, breathing out as the limbs move away.
