Broad Jump

Broad Jump

Horizontal Power

WHAT IS IT

The standing Broad Jump is the HYROX training drill that isolates the jumping half of the Burpee Broad Jump station. Removing the burpee lets you work pure horizontal power and landing mechanics without the aerobic cost masking your technique.

HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY

  1. 1Stand with feet hip-width apart behind the start line.
  2. 2Hinge into a quarter squat and swing both arms back.
  3. 3Drive the hips forward and jump out for maximum distance, not height.
  4. 4Land on both feet with bent knees and hips back to absorb the impact.
  5. 5Stand tall, reset your feet, and jump again from where you landed.
