Bent-Over Row

Bent-Over Row

Upper Back Pull

WHAT IS IT

The Bent-Over Row pulls a barbell or dumbbells to the torso from a hip hinge. It builds the upper back and lats for the sled pull and the SkiErg, and balances all the pressing.

HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY

  1. 1Hold the barbell or dumbbells and hinge until the torso is about 45° to the floor.
  2. 2Keep the back flat, knees soft and arms long.
  3. 3Pull the weight to the lower ribs, driving the elbows back.
  4. 4Squeeze the shoulder blades together at the top.
  5. 5Lower under control without standing up between reps.
