Air Squat
Legs & Mobility
The air squat is the foundation of all squat movements. It builds lower body endurance and mobility, and is used in high-rep conditioning workouts to accumulate leg volume without added load.
How to
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned out.
- Initiate by breaking at the hips and knees simultaneously.
- Descend until the hip crease is below the top of the knee — full depth.
- Keep your chest up, heels on the ground, and knees tracking over toes.
- Drive through your heels to stand, squeezing your glutes at the top.
