Air Squat

Legs & Mobility

The air squat is the foundation of all squat movements. It builds lower body endurance and mobility, and is used in high-rep conditioning workouts to accumulate leg volume without added load.

How to

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned out.
  2. Initiate by breaking at the hips and knees simultaneously.
  3. Descend until the hip crease is below the top of the knee — full depth.
  4. Keep your chest up, heels on the ground, and knees tracking over toes.
  5. Drive through your heels to stand, squeezing your glutes at the top.
